A prosperous Africa — for everyone on it

Well-being is not a privilege. Families eat with dignity, leaders decide with integrity, and communities build economies they own.

UN SOFI · How this pillar answers

Challenge: Lasting food security needs community ownership and traditional authority partnership — not extractive projects.

Our response: Close ties and planned partnership with royal and tribal structures so Agri, Foods and Foundation programmes honour heritage and local leadership.

A SHARED MANDATE

Close ties. Planned partnership. Support for the royal family and their work.

Big Five was born in KwaZulu-Natal. We have close ties to the royal family, and we are planning to partner with the royal family and tribal authorities. We support them and the work they do — honouring traditional leadership and putting practical tools, jobs, nutrition, and opportunity into the hands of the people we serve.

TIES · PARTNERSHIP · SUPPORT

Standing with the royal family — and planning formal partnership.

Big Five Group has close ties to the royal family. That relationship is rooted in respect, proximity to home, and a shared care for the communities of KwaZulu-Natal and beyond.

We are planning to partner with the royal family and tribal authorities — with humility, accountability, and a clear commitment to community wellbeing. Formal partnership will build on the ties we already hold.

We support the royal family and the work they do — community leadership, heritage, and service to the people. Our role is to serve families, traditional authorities, youth, farmers, and enterprises: listen first, align with local leadership, and deliver programmes that last.

OUR STANCE

Close ties to the royal family. Planning to partner. Supporting them and the work they do — with respect, integrity, and measurable service to communities.

HOW WE SHOW UP

Service that communities can feel

Ties and planned partnership are not slogans. They shape how we support royal leadership and deliver for the people we serve.

Ubuntu in action

Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu. We grow only when families, leaders, and local enterprises grow with us.

Dignity & transparency

Ethical commerce, clear reporting, and programmes people can trust — from village level to institutional partners.

Rooted at home

Born of KwaZulu-Natal soil, we begin with our neighbours and extend service across Africa with the same values.

Legacy for the next generation

We invest in youth, leadership, and sustainable enterprise so communities inherit opportunity — not dependency.

SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNITIES

Where support becomes impact

Through Big Five pillars, we put our ties and planned partnership with the royal family and tribal authorities into daily service — farms, food, markets, skills, and care.

Farms & food

Regenerative agriculture and fortified nutrition strengthen rural households — food security with dignity.

Markets & access

Direct routes to market and fair institutional access help local producers and enterprises keep more value.

Leadership & skills

Leadership development and Super-Cube® programmes equip community leaders, youth, and professionals to serve well.

Foundation & delivery

Transparent programmes and professional delivery ensure community projects land on the ground — and stay accountable.

“We have close ties to the royal family. We are planning to partner with them and with tribal authorities — and we support them and the work they do. We are here to serve our communities. That is the heart of Big Five.”
